![]() ![]() The only difference is that Roland's instruments seem the most broken on Monterey. Most have not announced official support yet, which means they are still testing/fixing things. Here's hoping they fix their software for Monterey soon, and maybe also fix everything else Their software is a bit wonky, both the plugins/instruments themselves and the Roland Cloud app.īut they are not nearly the last developer to update to Monterey. The 303 is the only good software 303 I've personally experienced, and they have a vibe that surpasses their counterparts from Arturia (and those are pretty good to begin with). I wish they'd get their act together, because I quite like the actual softsynths. They seem to be among the last to update to Monterey, which is super weird since their software is all fairly new, and share a codebase. And the patch browsing seems to be "analog" modeling music software from the 90s. I keep having to re-install Roland Cloud, just about every time I want to use one of the synths. ![]() Roland just suck at software, right? I love the sound of "my" roland cloud synths, but everything else is just terrible. How does the system run though? Can you use it as a professional / reliable machine yet? Carbon Copy Cloner, DriveDX, iStatistica, Maestral (lightweight native Dropbox client), 1Password, Al Dente (native battery manager)Weird as i've been reading waves aren't working. I have tried several non-audio things as well. Kazrog has a warning on their site not to update to Monterey so I'll just have to wait out whatever the solution is before I can really use these again. True Iron is fine mono, I haven't tried synth warmer in mono. I really like it.īoth of my Kazrog plugins crash Logic instantly if I use them in stereo mode. Ended up getting the new Tai Chi Lite to take the place of R4. It doesn't seem as much of a transparent verb like Phoenix so I may be finding something else to take it's place if nothing I have works.Įdit (since mine is the last post). Heaven, which has a few plate-ish presets and overall just sounded very nice indeed.on sale too. I think there would be times it worked and times it wouldn't. I didn't care for Valhalla Plate that much (I love some of the other plugins they do) and Goldplate was.interesting. I use plate algos a lot in R4/Phoenix so I just demoed a bunch of plates along with 7th Heaven as an all-around musical verb. I do use Space Designer for more natural spaces. I need to give Chromaverb a real fighting chance, but so far I haven't been too thrilled with it. So I'm looking to replace both knowing they are not going to be updated. ![]() That's a bit of a blow, but it would be worse if Phoenix verb stopped working (it still does for now). I deleted it and that's when the projects opened and I got a message saying it wasn't found. Besides the crashing, some would not validate but mostly these were ones I don't use so I just deleted them. Some opened, some didn't, the ones that didn't just crashed while going through the plugins so it was obviously some rogue plugin. Until that is I tried to open some Logic projects. Overall, it was pretty seamless other than some weirdness trying to format an ssd (it would not give the option for adfs, I just used the older used to be exfat, which Kontakt hated.) I am pretty much between projects (hobbyist also) and decided to update Sierra. Carbon Copy Cloner, DriveDX, iStatistica, Maestral (lightweight native Dropbox client), 1Password, Al Dente (native battery manager) Various Audiority & AudioThing plugins (most native M1).Plugin Alliance - spot checked several things, Knifonium & THORN are a CPU killers under Rosetta.Sonarworks/SoundID Reference - both Systemwide and plugin in Logic.iLok manager, Steinberg eLicenser manager.Liquidsonics CRP, 7th Heaven Pro, Plates.Fabfilter Pro-Q3, Pro-C2, Timeless 3, Volcano 3, Saturn 2.UAD Apollos and plugins (all but 3 plugins & Console app are native now).Still installing and testing stuff but so far the only thing that doesn't work are the ACB Legendary synths in Roland Cloud (Jupiter, Juno's, etc - D-50, JD-800 are fine). ![]()
